DOHC ( Double Over Head Camshaft )



This is a longer development of the mechanical system
lid valve SOHC, DOHC usually use the amount of valve
more than the SOHC.

Such systems typically have used Electronic Fuel Injection to
adjust the fuel mixture with air as substitute carburator.
in addition, the mechanical link between the motion from the
crankshaft to the valve has also been reduced so that the
disadvantages of which is caused by friction between mechanical
waned compared with SOHC system.



By using the valve lifters are directly related to the camshaft,
the engine sound even been able to suppressed because
it is not collision between the valve rocker arm. and of course
can result in a higher rpm than the SOHC valve mechanism.

Single Over Head Camshaft



SOHC is the development of a mechanical valve OHV,
In this system the location of the camshaft (Noken) lies above
cylender head. so lifter and push rod is in the removed
because the camshaft is directly been able to move
rocker arm.

In the SOHC system, which is used as a link
between the crankshaft and camshaft are 2 kinds, including:
1. timing Chain
2. timing Belt

both have advantages and disadvantages of individual
including the timing chain has a construction
stronger than the timing belt so it is not in
worry about decided the connecting motion occurs between
crankshaft and camshaft (Noken) that can cause
severe damage to the valve (valve).
While the timing belt itself has its own advantages
that is the timing belt can be produced low noise
because it had no connection between the chain of
with one another as owned by the timing
chain, and timing belt also has a level accuracy of is open
- Close the valve (valve) that is very accurate so it can
produce a higher rpm than the

Over Head Valve



above is an image the machine using the mechanism of valve OHV
(Over Head Valve), and one is a camshaft drive which consists of
other timing chain and timing gear direct use. machine with such

carburetor fuel system and still use a connecting push rod to
move the trigger valve (rocker arm).

a system It also can not achieve the high rpm because the
level accuracy of the lid Valve (valve) is very small which

Automatic Transmision Torque Converter

so actually Automatic Transmission effesiensi have a very good level when compared with manual Transmission, and can even be double the torque of the engine, not to mention added to the planetary gear system found on the transmission also has a very good level of efficiency. but it's just my opinion only ..
